It's more fun playing with CSS

Back in the day when Facebook is still in infancy and Myspace revolutionize the way to personalize your personal profile, CSS or Cascading Style Sheets is an integral part of this. By inserting CSS codes on text box, once an old, pale blue profile became personal, having custom backgrounds and fonts and even mouse cursor, users now have the power to customize without modify the html source codes. The problem with these is you need to study the source code of your profile and append it using CSS codes. I studied some and understand some functions of those codes and applied it on my Myspace Profile.

Moving forward today, where having a Facebook account is a must and Myspace and Friendster is now a history, it's nice to know that blogging is still gaining traction in this busy cyber world. Even blogger summits are everywhere where you will learn about basics in blogging and how to increase your readability. Blogger and Wordpress are still the site to be when creating a blog and if you want some twist, you may like to consider Tumblr or even Twitter.

I realize how CSS plays a role in blogging since I started to blog on Xanga (and I don't realize that I am blogging since the term is not that mainstream at that time) when I used predefined layout. Then they improve customization by including HTML box when as far as I remember, I was able to embed MIDI files and change the opacity of my background photos. (I used Flame of Recca pics btw.) I abandoned Xanga when Friendster started to roll out their TypePad-powered Friendster Blogs. I'm using it since it is interfaced with Friendster which I like but I don't use CSS here since I am satisfied with their templates. When I felt like Friendster is slowly loosing appeal to me, I made a decision to create this blog... in 2008! One of my previous plans is to download a template and make a CSS codes, which is tedious. I also attempt to re-introduce this and tried to integrate it on my Feedburner and Multiply account but the truth is, that time, I really don't have the will to create a post unlike before.

But today, this is the time to restore this blog. I have many ideas to share and I believe this is the right media to share these ideas. But first thing I would like to do is to change the look and feel of this blog. After uploading the template, I still look to modify some parts of it. I checked the  HTML codes of this templates and I found some CSS codes, tried to manipulate it by using copy-paste since I forgot some of those attributes, and there it is my friends.

I am looking forward to it and hopefully this time, it would be real.

Ciao!
